Well they could have Soviets still in the 2000s in the AHKJ universe, as how they have modern technology e.g., tablets during the early 21st century.

In fact they even presumably have very good internet, the fact that they could wirelessly access live CCTV footages from a mobile device.

AHKJ is in post-1999, although Madagascar is in the 1980s.

Canonically, AHKJ is not a prequel as it takes place post-1999, while the first Madagascar film takes place in the 1980s. But theoretically, I believe that is what they were going for, yes.

I consider Penguins of Madagascar as the fourth film.

It was real, not part of a dream.

I too hope that he shall return, thus why a lot of people are anticipating for a fifth film to explain that in further detail, because as of now we have no clue on what's going on back in the kingdom anymore.

In case you are all wondering about what are the benefits of joining this program, here are several reasons as to why it is good for us to participate in the early migration:

• Madagascar Wiki as an established wiki with an active community can contribute to the entire UCP program as a whole, by giving feedback on the platform if ever there exists any sort of problem or if we ever have a suggestion.

• By joining, and if we are accepted into the program, we shall have access to the UCP, which means that we would be able to get the new features which Fandom has to offer, thus allowing us to be able to adapt a lot of our pages to the new system earlier, and also get things cleaner.

• The platform offers many new system which would be useful for editors and readers alike, from the improved visual editor system to the better user interface and the new version of the Message Wall feature.

• Our participation shall be able to improve the experience of the UCP as a whole, as we shall be able to give our opinions and suggestions. This would ensure that once UCP rolls out fully, we could be satisfied with the results to fit with what we want from the upgrade.

• Upgrading our wiki right now would be a good idea, since we shall be seeing a new instalment coming to the franchise soon, Madagascar: A Little Wild. This would most definitely cause a lot of new users to flood into the wiki in search of information regarding the series and the franchise as a whole. Therefore, by having our wiki migrated early we could enhance the user experience for said users.
