Episode based

  • Continuity: This episode is a direct sequel to Lemur See, Lemur Do.
  • According to this episode, Space Squids have relatively quick and abrupt childhoods as the Space Squid that erupts out of Lemmy's chest is about as small as Mort and its cries sound high pitch, implying that it's a baby. When the penguins encounter it again a few minutes later, it's so large that only its tentacles can fit inside the Penguin Habitat and it's voice sounds deeper, implying that it matured into an adult within the span of a couple minutes.
  • The previous episode to Alienated was The Trouble With Jiggles, which ends with the penguins sending the Jiggli to pester the aliens. One could interpret the Space Squids' motivation to invade Earth as them interpreting the Jiggli sent there is humanity (and by proxy, Earth) declaring war on them by deliberately sending an invasive species to their homeworld.
  • Kowalski clicking the pen is a reference to Men in Black.
  • Running Gag: Skipper, Kowalski, Private, Rico, King Julien and Maurice tried to stop the Space Squid.
  • Running Gag: The Space Squid tries to gets things for a transmitting system.
  • Antagonist(s): The Space Squid
  • Space Squid paralysing-ink demobalizes all movement in a victim (except that used for speech) and lasts for about a week or two.

Foul Ups, Bloops, and Blunders

  • When Kowalski got immobilized he land flat on the ground but when Lemy took the Space Squid back to mars he is standing and he's and somehow moved to Rico
