Plot

King Julien begins a dance party at the closing time of the zoo that extends well into the night. Unable to get any sleep and also unable to wake his comrades, he goes on to handle the situation himself. He steals the batteries from Julien's boom-box in order to make it stop. In a fight to get the batteries back, Julien knocks both him and Skipper into the habitat of an angry kangaroo named Joey. Skipper and Julien end up in a tree and must team up to get out of the pen. King Julien's antics make every attempt at getting out fail. Julien eventually feels guilt and saves Skipper by sacrificing one of his batteries. Skipper repays the favor by giving Julien batteries from his walkie talkie. Julien continues his dance party, much to the dismay of his fellow lemurs. Meanwhile, Skipper, returning to headquarters, receives a pair of earmuffs from Rico and gets a much needed sleep.
