DreamWorks Super Star Kartz is a crossover racing video game that features many characters from many DreamWorks films. It features characters from Shrek, Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon and Monsters vs. Aliens. It was made for Wii, Xbox 360 and the Nintendo DS.
References to the Madagascar series[]
Within the console version of the game, there are three playable reps from the franchise, including Alex, Marty, and Skipper. Included as a bonus is Alex in his ceremonial attire from Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and Skipper downing a captain's hate and fake mustache. However, in the DS version, almost the entire main cast is playable, with Melman, Gloria, King Julien, Phil and Mason being the exclusives. Each character also has a unique special ability when obtaining five stars scattered across the race tracks. Alex's special is hopping onto other drivers' karts while posing for a photo, which will temporarily stun them. Marty's special is him using his excellent speed to charge through opponents without his kart. Skipper's special is a megaphone which causes shockwaves. Each of also have special symbols on their go-karts, with Alex having a star, Marty having an illustrated likeness of his face, and Skipper having the hula doll from Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. In the DS version, the karts don't feature elaborate symbols, but flat painted colors. All of the special abilities in the DS version are also ripped from the DS port of Madagascar Kartz.
One item is themed after Madagascar, which is a banana that works as a hazard to stop other drivers.
In each cup, there is one location from the first two movies.

The console tracks also feature the rest of the gang along with the other lemurs (Mort and Maurice) rooting for the Madagascar characters or doing something in the background during the race. There are also several areas and details taken from the films. In Madagascar, the Cargo Ship and the mock Statue of Liberty are seen. In the New York City Zoo, you can drive past the famous mural from the original movie. In Africa, the Penguins' helicopter can be glimpsed.
