Grandpa Mort was a character in All Hail King Julien. He was a criminal, thrown into jail by King Julien IV. Upon getting out of jail, he helped Mort get into Karl-Con, to get him to become King Julien's arch-nemesis to get his revenge on the Julien Kings. He was later killed by Mort during an attempt to absorb his essence.

Grandpa Mort was born in the island of madagascar with his family; Granny Mort and two sons. One of them is his most important essence, Mort, has the ability to absorb other his species whole, until unknowingly he was sent to jail for life by king Julien IV, thus he was somehow able to escape his fate into the jungle of the island someday and find his grandson, Mort.

Grandpa Mort made his entrance by the house of his grandson. Mort thought some kind of random old lemur had shown up. However, when Grandpa Mort revealed they were related, in seconds mort was in joy and excitement, for his grandpa had returned from his prison break many years ago.
