The Hoboken Zoo is a zoo located in the city of Hoboken, New Jersey. It is supposedly home to only the toughest animals, and many of the penguins' foes tend to either be from the zoo or sent to it.
History[]
The first time the zoo physically appears is in the episode The Hoboken Surprise, in which the penguins are sent to the zoo. There, they encounter several of their past friends and foes who were sent back to the zoo at the end of their initial respective episodes. The zoo was initially run by a zookeeper named Frances Alberta, who was a clean freak. She was eventually fired by zoo commissioner Pervis McSlade when it was discovered that she had replaced all the animals with biomechanical androids. The zoo appeared physically for the second time in the episode Smotherly Love, in which Ma followed Hans back to the zoo to take care of him. The zoo appeared physically for the third and final time in the episode Best Foes, in which Skipper travels there to recruit Hans and help him break out. The zoo may have ties to the Hoboken Aquarium, since Rhonda was supposedly sent to the aquarium at the end of the episode Roomies yet appeared in the zoo by her next appearance.
Transfers/Inhabitants[]
Several animals have been transferred to and from the Hoboken Zoo. Lulu was from the Hoboken Zoo, transferred temporarily to the Central Park Zoo, and then went back to the Hoboken Zoo. Barry was from the Hoboken Zoo, where he had built up something of a reputation for himself, and was transferred to the Central Park Zoo. Savio was from the Hoboken Zoo, and briefly transferred to the Central Park Zoo, before being sent back to Hoboken. He would go on to escape Hoboken and travel back to the Central Park Zoo for revenge, but was again sent back to Hoboken. He would leave Hoboken for a third time when he was hired by King Julien, and it is unknown if he eventually returned to the Hoboken Zoo. Hans would travel to and from the Hoboken Zoo several times, first being sent there by the penguins, then being broken out by Dr. Blowhole, and subsequently being sent back later on. He would act in a similar fashion at the Hoboken Zoo to how the penguins treat the Central Park Zoo - living there and treating it as a base of operations, but leaving from time to time to carry out his schemes. Rhonda was sent to the Hoboken Aquarium by the penguins, yet eventually ended up at the Hoboken Zoo nonetheless. Clemson was transferred to Hoboken from the Central Park Zoo by the penguins, but broke out later on and travelled back to Central Park, which he was eventually chased out of. Ma followed Hans to the Hoboken Zoo, but it is unknown if she decided to permanently live there since it was not an "official" zoo transfer. The penguins also temporarily resided in the Hoboken Zoo, when there vacation resulted in some humans taking them in a box to Hoboken.

- The city of Hoboken is mentioned in the episode Gloria's Got 'Em All. The zoo itself is indirectly mentioned in the same episode, due to the implication being that Critter Cards are inspired by animals from different zoos, and the reigning champion being from Hoboken.
