Episode based

  • This episode (and The Helmet) marks the first time where no other animals, besides the regular cast appear, minus Marlene.
  • Rico's behaviour in this episode is reminiscent of a child with an unspecified mental illness. Skipper strongly implies that he's not fully responsible for his own actions and needs the others to take care of him.
  • Related, Julien is highly manipulative in this episode, to the point that he could be seen as taking advantage of Rico's low intellect and psychosis for his personal entertainment. He even describes himself as Rico's 'enabler' in one line. An enabler is somebody who encourages or enables negative or self-destructive behaviour in another.
  • This is the first episode to state that the occasional bout of uncontrolled mayhem is good for Rico. Another is Roger Dodger, in Roger's body.
  • Running Gag: Explosives have been used all the time.
  • Running Gag: Rico keeps hanging out with King Julien.

Foul Ups, Bloops, and Blunders

  • During the scene where Julien's Bounce House deflates from his rampage, Mort is seen on top of it as it's deflating. However when the cast backs away from the house, Mort is seen among the group as it finishes deflating. However it is possible that Mort jumped off the bounce house while it was deflating.

Behind the Scenes

  • It was supposed to air on March 27, 2010, but didn't.
  • There was a scene with "Wild Marlene" planned, but it was cut for time.
