Hi, there Granditamias, my upcoming election to become a Content Moderator is next week, i'm going to gather support. == Things i intend to do once i am a Content Moderator == * Clean Up Vandalism and Spam * Help the Administration in maintaining the Wiki * Help other users do things that standard users cannot! * report Vandalism attacks and attackers to Brendan!, and request a warning or ask him to block the attacker i hope i can get support from you and the other great users of Madagascar Wiki!
I hope that you are in good health and are doing good on this fine Monday morning. I come here representing the Madagascar Wiki Administration.
I wish to inform you that the Madagascar Wiki Administration recognises your many contributions to the fandom and the Wiki in the past, and deeply appreciates your help in our effort to craft glory for Madagascar together.
Therefore, we have discussed among ourselves, and we have decided to thank you for your great contributions by awarding you the Order of King Julien Award, for your contributions on this wonderful Wiki.
We hope that this shall also motivate you to help us further, so that we, together as a fandom, may bring the Madagascar franchise to a higher level in the future.
Prior to the major vandalism case that happened a few days ago, the Supreme Madagascar Wiki Council has decided to elect you as one of our Content Moderators. Since you have helped us a lot in cleaning up the Wiki especially during vandalism cases, we thought that with you as one of our Content Moderators, you shall be able to help us further in making this Wiki a better place.
If you agree to join the crew and become one of our Content Moderators, we will promote you to this position as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for offering me a position as a Content Moderator, but unfortunately I must decline, for now at least. I feel honored that I have been acknowledged for all I have helped with so far, but at the same time I don't feel like I'm ready to take on such a responsiblity just yet. I also have college classes coming up pretty soon, so that might cut into my availibility. I'll still be around from time to time, adding trivial information to AHKJ pages, discussing with other fans, and continuing to help uphold an appropriate atmosphere on every page. This has certainly been the hardest decision I've been faced with since I started editing wikis. Madagascar has and always will have a place in my heart, so being able to help in the small ways that I already have from the postion I'm currently at, makes me happy enough.
Again, thank you so much for thinking this highly of my efforts. I'm certainly greatful, and maybe one day I'll be ready.
You're very much welcome. It's fine, and I understand completely. It is good to focus on your studies first.
I can relate as I have faced this once in another fandom, when I was offered the position of a community manager for Asia. But like you, at that time I was busy with school so I didn't have the time for that. It was hard making the decision, but the result of declining is worth it as I didn't have much distraction while I was studying, compared to what could've happened if I accepted the offer and have to go to their forums everyday making sure everything is fine.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your wonderful contributions, let me know whenever you're ready to join our crew.
Also, good luck with your education, and I hope that you'll successfully succeed and perform well ^^
I understand that for the past few years there's been some debate as to whether or not the Lemur kingdom will be affected in some antagonistic way by Chantel DuBois after the end of Europe's Most Wanted. However, I believe that there's more to it than just assuming that it'll become a plot point later on. While it would be within DuBois' character to antagonize innocent animals for sport, there are some flaws in the idea that it would be the first thing she does once she gets to Madagascar.
Hypothetically speaking, if a fourth film or sequel TV series does continue DuBois' story, there are some things that could be considered certain based on the end of Europe's Most Wanted. Firstly, as far as we know, the ship carrying DuBois and her animal control team was not hijacked like the penguins did in the first film, so their ship is more likely to reach its port of destination (in this case a port in a human populated region of Madagascar).
Secondly, Madagascar in real life is a French speaking nation, which is a language that DuBois is known to speak. Because of this, DuBois could communicate with many of the natives and organize a way for her to possibly get back to Monte Carlo, and from there try to get her revenge on Alex all over again.
Logically, the chance of DuBois and her team encountering the Lemur kingdom is very slim once they get to Madagascar, but there is a chance of seeing human settlement not shown previously. In my opinion, it would be a great opportunity to show more of the island beyond just the jungle. Besides, it would seem too coincidental that DuBois would antagonize the Lemurs when she has no way of knowing that they even met Alex.
