Ted is the only polar bear at the Central Park Zoo. Not much is known about him.
He is first seen in The Madagascar Penguins in A Christmas Caper, where Private notices he is lonely and tries to convince the gang to let Ted spend Christmas with them. In the end, he is more than delighted to be able to spend Christmas with his friends.
In the video game for the first movie, he gives Marty advice on how to avoid the attack of the Zoo Hunter.
In The Penguins of Madagascar series, Ted was mentioned in "Cute-Astrophe" and seen in "The Most Dangerous Game Night", where Marlene said that Ted hadn't talked since A Christmas Caper. Ted was also seen in P.E.L.T. when Skipper had to provoke and evade a polar predator.
