The Final Fur-tier is the fiftieth and final episode of Madagascar: A Little Wild.
Synopsis[]
With his friends pursuing their own 'things', Alex feels like he's being left behind! When he undertakes an epic adventure of his own - a trip to space - Alex learns that even though life changes, the bonds of friendship don't have to.
Plot[]
Alex has been workshopping his game, paw-ball, and wants to play it with his friends (Marty, Melman, and Gloria). He tries looking around the Rescue Habitat, but can't find any of them. He eventually runs into both Pickles and Dave, who tell him that the other zoosters are all busy, off doing their own things. Marty's at a park ranger horse meeting, Gloria's salsa dancing, and Melman's listening in on his first paramedic test.
The next morning Alex tries again to get them to play, but they all have plans again. After Pickles and Dave accidentally flip through the TV channels, Alex gets the idea to go meet the space chimp, Thelma, at the Space Center before the launch of the rocket. The other zoosters think that sounds like fun, and Melman is excited to get Thelma's pawtograph, so they agree. However, they say they can't stay for long because they have plans in the afternoon.
The zoosters head to the Space Center, where they do some space training activities. Afterwards, they get in line to get Thelma's pawtograph. Marty, Melman, and Gloria thank Thelma for the pawtograph but say they have to get going. Alex, feeling left out and unimportant, strikes a deal with Thelma - he'll take her place and go to space, while she stays behind to watch her favorite baseball team in the world series.
Alex announces to his friends that he'll be going to space, and tells them to meet up with him at the shuttle stop before he boards the rocket. At the shuttle stop he runs into Thelma and Ant'ney who have come to see him off, but without his friends in sight. Just before the shuttle leaves the rest of the zoosters show up, and they give Alex a gift box.
Alex boards the rocket and thinks about his whole life and everything that led up to this moment. He realizes that he doesn't want to leave his friends behind, and tries desperately to get out of the rocket. Marty, Melman, Gloria, and Ant'ney do end up showing up, but they get stuck in the rocket with Alex. Pickles and Dave run by and, spotting the trapped zoosters, run up to the rocket and help them out, subsequently boarding the rocket themselves. As the rocket launches, Thelma vows to wait for her niece and nephew Pickles and Dave to return, seeing as earlier in the day they broke the tablet she was using to watch the baseball game. The zoosters head back to the habitat, where Alex does what he does best - perform for a crowd!
