- The zoo uses bio-hazard suits to deal with dangerously toxic or contaminated animals, ex. in Operation: Cooties, Alice used a bio-hazard suit to prevent herself from getting the ivy rash Marlene had.
- Kowalski has a book called "Scratch and Sniff Rain Forest Animals", which makes an appearance in Love Hurts and The Big Squeeze.
- The Peruvian Booby smells like armpit.
- The robot suit appears based off the Iron Man suit of armor, from Marvel Comics/Movies. Private will eventually use the robot suit later on in Danger Wears A Cape and Siege the Day.
- This is the second appearance of the Six-Foot Whacking Stick, and is the first time it is addressed as such. The first appearance was in Sting Operation.
- First appearance of Barry the Dart frog.
- At the end the Penguins think a robot penguin and Barry are playing checkers
- Running Gag: Barry kept having the animals do what he says or else he will touch whoever doesn't listen to him.
- In real life, Poison Dart Frogs couldn't paralize someone just by touching them, the frog would have to be ingested (eaten). Or a person would have to handle them with cuts on their skin.
