Earlier this year, DreamWorks announced their upcoming series, Madagascar: A Little Wild, a brand-new spin-off focusing on the four zoosters, namely Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman. If you remember during the previous issue of Madagascar Wiki Interviews, we announced that we shall be having the next issue in March, where we will be discussing a very interesting topic regarding this fandom.

So here we are today with one of the project coordinators from the Madagascar Fandom, Maggy, or also known as foreverjover and Magdalena2004, to talk about the exciting news regarding Madagascar: A Little Wild. Maggy is a prominent project coordinator over on the Madagascar Fandom, who has helped conduct various fandom projects including All Hail King Julien Week, and also among the founders of the Everamazing Jover Fanclub which manages projects such as The Jover Challenge.
First of all, with all the hype of this new series, we asked Maggy on her opinion and reaction upon hearing of this news.
"I wasn't fangirling like crazy or anything, but I would lie if I said I wasn't excited. I mean, wow, something is finally going on! Maybe it's not Madagascar 4 but it's still something! Gotta admit I'm very curious about the animation, the voice actors, the music and also the plot itself."

As what Maggy mentioned, this marks the first time the Madagascar franchise receives a new content for three years since the 1st of December 2017 when the final season of All Hail King Julien goes live on Netflix. This is expected to spark a comeback for the fandom, aside from the franchise, after a few months of inactivity since the All Hail King Julien Week in December last year.
"Unfortunately, I must say I've noticed less and less activity in this fandom. My friends and I have discussed it so many times, and it's a pity to see that it's slowly dying. It may not be the most popular fandom this world has ever seen but it used to be so loud here! I hope that 'the little wild' aspect will give a little more activity and motivation to this community."

Madagascar: A Little Wild has been anticipated by the fandom for a long while. With leaked information revealed by the Madagascar Fandom two years ago proving that DreamWorks is working on a new instalment titled "DREAMWORKS MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD", fans had been speculating since then regarding this matter, and the case isn't different for Maggy.
"I knew it'll be about zoosters, that's for sure. Assuming from their title, I thought their 'little wild' place would surely be their zoo ... I thought they'd discover the world, learning about new amazing things."
As of today, it has only been confirmed that Madagascar: A Little Wild would feature the four zoosters. However, many are also guessing on whether or not the penguin quartet or even the lemurs shall make an appearance as well. We asked Maggy for her opinion on this matter.
"I have high hopes there will be penguins and it'd be great if they actually showed up! I would love to see the lemurs as well, but I doubt that they will appear because, as we know, they first met with the zoosters in Madagascar. Still, it'd be pretty funny watching them interact. Personally, however, I'm still not okay with the fact we've never really seen the younger counterparts of the lemurs."
As mentioned by the official sources, Madagascar: A Little Wild will be a show catered to the younger audience as part of DreamWorks Jr. This has been said by many to potentially not be as big of a hype for the community compared to previous instalments like The Penguins of Madagascar and All Hail King Julien. This is what Maggy has to say on this matter.
"It's funny to hear this would actually be for the younger ones, I know for a fact that this wouldn't be like TPoM (The Penguins of Madagascar) or AHKJ (All Hail King Julien) but I'm pretty sure that this thing wouldn't simply be junk. Let's hope it would be something good for an eye and ear with a normal valuable lesson from each episode. Whatever will come, I know this fandom will wake up and make new amazing things!"
The series is expected to arrive to Peacock TV and Hulu sometime after June this year, and the fandom is going wild in excitement over the coming of this new series.
